The equipment needed for airbrushing will be your most expensive part to setting up your business, so make sure you purchase quality items which should include warranties. Purchase from a distributor in the industry, who knows your needs and wants and is there for assistance when you require.
| There are many types available and recommend that you purchase an airbrush made especially for the nail technician, as this will eliminate a lot of potential problems and waste of nail colour. I use both the Badger 100SG and the Vega Nailaire, the Vega Nailaire is made for nail technicians and both airbrushes are dual action with a well, thus the need for less paint and a needle which is strong enough to be cleaned by a nail brush without any damage. |

This airbrush is great for using with temporarty tattos, makeup or tanning. It comprises the airbrush, hose, needles sizes 1, 3 & 5, together with their respective air caps and tips. The airbrush kit includes a 1/4oz cup and jars. |

| The best air source is an auto on/off compressor that doesn't run out, unlike canned compressed air. A small oil-less and maintenance free compressor which has a constant air supply with a flick of a switch will prove a worthwhile investment. The on/off feature will help keep the motor cooler and working longer. | When the pressure reaches 60psi the compressor shuts off and starts again when you use your airbrush. |

Our other compressor is also an auto on/off, but is made to run all day. Up to 4 airbrushes can be used on this unit. |

Is a must have item. As your compressor heats up, the air becomes hot and cools down as it travels up the hose, causing moisture. If this moisture is allowed to reach the airbrush, it will end up on your clients' nails and ruin any work you have done. |
| The braided hose can be used for both the Badger and Vega airbrushes. The hose is available in 6 or 10 feet long | ![]() |
